About Alan Carr
Alan Carr is a multi-award-winning broadcaster and one of the most recognisable figures in British comedy. Since his breakthrough in 2001 when he won the BBC New Comedy Award, he has become a mainstay of primetime television. He is perhaps best known for hosting sixteen series of the Channel 4 talk show Chatty Man, a role that earned him a BAFTA, alongside multiple National Television and Royal Television Society awards. His extensive television portfolio includes hosting The Royal Variety Performance, Interior Design Masters, and Epic Gameshow, as well as serving as a regular judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
Beyond his chat show success, Alan has performed five national stand-up tours and authored the autobiography Look Who It Is!. Recently, he has garnered acclaim for writing and starring in the sitcom Changing Ends and for his victory in the first series of The Celebrity Traitors. His creative reach extends to the airways through his popular podcast Life’s A Beach, where he interviews high-profile guests such as Louis Theroux and Michael Sheen, and his previous long-running programme on BBC Radio 2.
Alan is highly sought after as a host for major live events and awards ceremonies. He combines an effortless stage presence with a warm, self-deprecating style that makes him an exceptional choice for organisations looking for a high-profile personality who can connect with diverse audiences through professional and engaging delivery.
Alan Carr is regularly booked for Performers and Entertainer and Presenter & Awards Host, adapting tone, length and format to suit the event — from a 20-minute opener to a full conference keynote with Q&A.
