About Ben Fogle
Ben Fogle is a renowned adventurer and broadcaster who first rose to public prominence during the BBC millennium project, Castaway. Having spent a year as part of a volunteer community on the remote island of Taransay in the Outer Hebrides, he has since dedicated his career to exploring the world’s most demanding environments. His television work includes leading expeditions for Extreme Dreams and Extreme Andes, as well as presenting staples of British broadcasting such as Countryfile and Animal Park.
A prolific endurance athlete, Ben has completed a series of record-breaking feats alongside Olympic rower James Cracknell. Together, they rowed nearly 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, overcoming hurricanes and equipment failure to set a British record. Their subsequent challenges have included racing to the South Pole, trekking across the Empty Quarter desert, and a non-stop rickshaw journey from Edinburgh to London. These experiences serve as the foundation for his deep understanding of physical and psychological perseverance.
Beyond his screen and sporting work, Ben is an accomplished author of four books, including The Teatime Islands and Offshore, which examine the most isolated regions of the British Isles and its former territories. He is booked by organisations for his ability to translate his extraordinary experiences into compelling narratives on risk management and peak performance in high-pressure situations.
On stage, Ben Fogle is best known for talks on Resilience, Energy & Sustainability, Peak Performance and Risk & Risk Management. Audiences leave with a clear, practical view of the subject rather than a generic overview — every keynote is shaped around the brief and the room.
Their work resonates with leaders across Adventure & Exploration and Media & Broadcasting, where the themes translate directly into team decisions, customer experience and growth strategy.
Ben Fogle is regularly booked for Motivational Speaker and Presenter & Awards Host, adapting tone, length and format to suit the event — from a 20-minute opener to a full conference keynote with Q&A.
Based in UK, Ben Fogle travels internationally for engagements.
