About Stef Reid
Stef Reid is an elite British track and field athlete who achieved global acclaim as a world champion, five-time world record holder and triple Paralympic medallist. Over a distinguished eighteen-year career that spanned four Paralympic Games, including Tokyo 2020, she established herself as a leading figure in international sport. Beyond the athletics track, she demonstrated her versatility by reaching the quarter-finals of Dancing on Ice, making history as the first contestant to compete in the programme using an artificial foot.
Her journey is defined by remarkable academic and personal perseverance. After a boating accident at age fifteen led to the amputation of her right foot, she redirected her focus toward her education, graduating as valedictorian and securing a full scholarship to study biochemistry at Queen’s University in Canada. Though she originally planned for a medical career, her return to competitive sprinting and long jump during her university years reignited her sporting ambitions and led to a professional career at the highest level.
Now a sought-after executive coach, broadcaster and actor, Stef translates the principles of peak performance and adaptation to the corporate environment. Having lived and worked across New Zealand, Canada, and the United Kingdom, she offers a broad perspective on diversity and inclusion. Organisations invite Stef to speak for her unique ability to connect high-performance athletics with a growth mindset, providing a compelling narrative on overcoming adversity through refined focus and determination.
On stage, Stef Reid is best known for talks on Resilience, Diversity & Inclusion and Peak Performance. Audiences leave with a clear, practical view of the subject rather than a generic overview — every keynote is shaped around the brief and the room.
Their work resonates with leaders across Motivational Speaking and Sport, where the themes translate directly into team decisions, customer experience and growth strategy.
Stef Reid is regularly booked for Motivational Speaker and Presenter & Awards Host, adapting tone, length and format to suit the event — from a 20-minute opener to a full conference keynote with Q&A.
Based in UK, Stef Reid travels internationally for engagements.
