About Todd Buchholz
Todd Buchholz is a distinguished economist and strategist who previously served as Director for Economic Policy at the White House under George H. W. Bush. His career spans the highest levels of finance and academia, having held the role of Managing Director at the 15-billion-dollar Tiger Management hedge fund and earned an Allyn Young Teaching Prize for economics while at Harvard. A scholar with advanced degrees from Harvard and the University of Cambridge, he was recently named a fellow at Yale University’s Branford College in 2024.
Beyond the boardroom, he is a prolific author and commentator whose works, such as New Ideas from Dead Economists and The Price of Prosperity, have been translated into twelve languages. His book Rush: Why You Thrive in the Rat Race was lauded as a top social sciences title by Publishers Weekly. A versatile intellectual, he has also co-produced the Broadway sensation Jersey Boys and authored the musical Glory Ride, which enjoyed a successful run in London’s West End in 2023. He frequently contributes his expertise to major outlets including The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
Todd is highly sought after for his ability to untangle complex global trends with precision and humour. He provides audiences with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between politics, finance, and business strategy, making him an essential choice for organisations navigating today’s volatile economic landscape.
On stage, Todd Buchholz is best known for talks on Financial Services, Economics & the Economy, Politics & Geopolitics and Strategy. Audiences leave with a clear, practical view of the subject rather than a generic overview — every keynote is shaped around the brief and the room.
Their work resonates with leaders across Business & Consulting and Finance & Economics, where the themes translate directly into team decisions, customer experience and growth strategy.
